Goal: make your chosen input method readable under pressure. The developer’s Steam description names Extreme Evasion, Dodge Counter, Echo Skills and quick-time actions. Those mechanics give you concrete tasks for evaluating a control arrangement instead of copying a stranger’s keybinds.

Establish a baseline

Find an ordinary enemy you can revisit. Attempt the fight once with your current setup and note a single problem: camera overshoot, an awkward dodge input, difficulty reaching the Echo action or confusion during a character transition. Change only the setting or binding that addresses that problem. Run the same fight again. If you change several controls at once, you cannot tell which change helped.

Keep a short record of your baseline and revised input. A notebook line such as “dodge reachable, camera still too fast” is more valuable than a screenshot of someone else’s entire settings screen. If a patch resets a preference, you will know what to restore.

Readability before speed

If you miss an incoming attack, consider whether the problem is your camera position or the timing itself. Put the enemy clearly on screen and practice avoiding one telegraphed move. Only then work a counterattack or Echo Skill into the sequence. Raising camera speed or pressing more buttons is not a substitute for seeing the action.

For a new character, read the current in-game skill descriptions and rehearse on a routine target. This guide does not prescribe a character rotation because abilities and balance can change, and VexRig has not timed or tested a specific team.

What success looks like

After three tries, you should know which input you can reach comfortably and whether you can identify at least one attack before reacting. If not, make one more targeted adjustment or switch to a different available input method. Do not spend upgrade resources solely to compensate for a control layout you have not learned.

VexRig’s note: this is a practice setup, not an official preset or a VexRig-tested optimization. The exact controls available depend on the installed version and platform.
