Goal: leave the first session with an input method you can use consistently in combat and city travel. The Steam listing advertises partial controller support and lists Xbox and PlayStation controller categories. “Partial” does not promise that every menu, prompt or launcher step works without a keyboard or mouse.
A ten-minute setup route

First, finish any mandatory opening steps and choose the input method you intend to use. In a safe area, test movement, camera rotation, interaction and a menu. Then enter an ordinary encounter and test attack, dodge and character switching. Finally, try a brief city trip or vehicle sequence. If an action is uncomfortable, change only that binding or sensitivity and repeat the same short test. This isolates the effect of your adjustment.
Do not copy another player’s sensitivity number without their input device, screen and preferences. We have not tested a universal “best” setting. Prioritize clear visual feedback: if effects obscure an enemy’s tell, inspect the game’s available display options, make one change and compare the same encounter. Record the setting you liked so a later patch or device change is easier to troubleshoot.
Check language and account expectations
Steam lists English interface, audio and subtitles and several additional interface languages. Confirm the current language in your installation rather than assuming a screenshot represents your region. The game also requires a Perfect World Games account on Steam. Read the official linking flow before creating a new login if you already play elsewhere; do not assume progress transfers automatically.
A final check
Can you open the map and return to the game without changing input devices? Can you identify the next enemy action and switch characters intentionally? Can you travel across one city block without fighting the camera? If yes, you have a workable baseline. Spend time learning the game before fine-tuning further.
VexRig’s note: this is a general setup method based on disclosed platform features, not a tested configuration or performance benchmark. Exact menu names and bindings must be confirmed in the installed version.
