Published for editorial review October 9, 2026. Version 1.4, “For Whom the Verses Mourn,” went live after the announced September 30 maintenance. The official notes list Blackbird as a limited S-Class character, the story episode “The Witch,” and two new locations, Pukaland and St. Arbor.
What can you do now?

The new episode requires completion of “Fogden Game.” Pukaland adds attractions and an exchange system; St. Arbor is introduced as a town below the mountain. If you have not reached those story gates, the practical next step is to continue the main quest rather than hunt for a locked marker.
Blackbird’s “Foretold Finale” limited board is scheduled through October 21 at 05:59 (UTC+8). The notes also list a returning Lacrimosa board with its own separately tracked perks. Those are different decisions, and the headline rewards should not be treated as guaranteed from a handful of pulls. Open the board in your game and read its rules before using currency.
Dates to save
The publisher lists several events running to November 11, including Pukaland Travelogue and a Porsche collaboration, with different unlocks and spending rules. A separate story and rewards update is announced for October 21. Read each event screen for your server time and eligibility; dates in the patch notes are mostly UTC+8 or server time, depending on the activity.
What VexRig is watching: whether the new story, city activities and resource bonuses make 1.4 easier to enter for new players. That is an editorial question, not a claim from a VexRig playtest. Our beginner guide explains the two activity resources without promising a current banner outcome.
